Finally, the main character of the story, Sentaro Tsukiji, the indifferent manager of Doraharu, a Japanese sweet shop selling Dorayaki (a type of Japanese snack with red bean paste sandwiched between round, fluffy pancakes). Wakana, a middle schooler and also a patron at Doraharu. One elder woman, her name is Tokue Yoshii, a 76-year-old Hansen’s disease survivor, living in Tenshoen Sanatorium Tokyo. Not to mention, the cover just looks so pleasant and calming from the pastel colors, picturing three people of different stages of life. ![]() Okay, let me be honest and say that the reason I picked this book is because I was craving for some sweets but too lazy to make or go out to buy them.
